Apple increases 5G component orders for iPhone 13 lineup

According to Digitimes, Apple has increased the number of its suppliers for 5G-related hardware and that's because it expects to deliver more mmWave-capable phones with the iPhone 13 generation. The iPhone 12 family is the first lineup to support 5G connectivity but the mmWave support is limited to US as the rest of the world got only sub-6GHz 5G support. Now more markets are expected to adopt the faster mmWave standard and Apple wants to be ready. Source from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://bit.ly/3hoEa6W

Sony Xperia 1 III earns a 6/10 repairability score in disassembly video

The Sony Xperia 1 III looks pretty old-school on the outside, but the inside is layer upon layer of modern components. What if one of them breaks? It will need to be replaced and the video below shows the disassembly process step by step. Sony didn’t do anything too crazy, everything is held down by Philips screws and a moderate amount of glue. However, there are multiple layers tied together with flex cables, which need to be taken apart. The good news is that if you need to replace the display, you only need to take apart the bottom assembly to reach the screen’s flex cable, you don’t... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://bit.ly/2TmdCLB

Redmi Note 10 Pro receives an update enabling 2GB of virtual RAM

Many of the smartphone OEMs have introduced their own take on virtual RAM expansion so that low-memory phones can keep up with the ever increasing demand by apps. The OTA update is being distributed to Chinese unitz, for now, and when activated, the system allocates 2GB of the internal storage and adds it to the RAM when needed. Report: the Apple Watch Series 7 will feature a larger battery instead of adding new sensors

Ever since the original Apple Watch was released, Apple has been advertising a battery life of 18 hours. This is just as true for the first model as it is for the current Series 6. However, according to insider reports the company believes that it can get owners of older Watches to upgrade if the new model offers better battery life. Huawei Mate X2 4G goes on sale in China with HarmonyOS 2.0 out of the box

Huawei has trouble sourcing 5G components due to the trade war with the US, so the company has taken to re-releasing some of its existing 5G phones as 4G-only models. The latest to take the plunge is the foldable Huawei Mate X2. The 4G model went on sale in China for the first time today at 10:08 local time. Besides dropping the 5G connectivity, the phone is almost unchanged - it still uses a Kirin 9000 chipset, for example (the 4G version of it, anyway). There is a small price cut involved too, though it barely makes a scratch on the CNY 17,800 price tag of the Mate X2 5G. The 4G... from GSMArena.com - Latest articles https://bit.ly/3hhP3rl
