Omdia: Apple, Samsung and Honor win in Q2, overall market loses

Per Omdia's research, the global smartphone market in Q2 of this year was worse off than in Q2 of 2021, and worse still compared to Q1 of 2022. There were a total of 293.7 million smartphones shipped in the months April through June, compared to 307.7 million in Q1, and 303.3 million in Q2 2021. Samsung led the market in Q2 with a total of 62.2 million phones shipped, in front of Apple's 48.9 million.
